How Bazaar Illustration auction!
A few months ago I heard about a project run by lovely illustrator Jessica Stokes at How Bazaar.
She and Courtney Lee are organizing a fund raising event supporting Large Ride Down a group of guys who are going on a long bike ride from John O Groats to Lands End for charity next year. They are supporting Leukaemia and Lymphoma research and have a £5000 target to raise by June of next year.
Our contribution as illustrators were donating a piece old or new for their illustration auction I don't want to post the image here as is new work and I like to always keep it secret till the last minute but here is a little preview of my illustration!
Make sure to check it out if you are in Lincoln on the 14th of May; Arts, Crafts, Handmade clothes and jewellery, Vintage and re-worked vintage as well as a good old traditional tombola! Event will be hold at Lincoln at The Engine Shed.
Here is the Event poster.

Illustration Rally Ganbare Nippon: Japan Tsunami Appeal
We all remember like yesterday the terrible morning when we woke up and on TV were the devastating images of the big earthquake and the tsunamis that stroked Japan more than a month ago.
I got friends in Japan and immediately I was worried for them, it was unbelievable the images and videos over the Internet and the news, shocking!
A wonderful illustrator I have met in twitter and who runs Illustration Rally Natsuki Otani is from Japan and my thoughts were with her as well, She was comprehensible upset and feeling powerless in front of this tragedy that was affecting her country, She has the brilliant idea to run a rally for Japan to give them courage to keep going. The rally was a success and I think she is very thankful with each of us who support the idea and create a piece for Ganbare Nippon, which means don't give up Japan!
This is my little contribution to Illustration Rally, I wish all the best to people in Japan they are a strong community and I'm sure they will keep stronger and move on. :)
Here is also a link to a friend's blog about his experience of the tragedy. The blog of Loz Blackman

A Royal Wedding for a Peruvian girl like me
Well last Friday I got the day off and I made sure I stuck in champagne and pastries to watch Kate and Prince William wedding. As far as I knew I was going to have a nice day drinking and watching fashion but to my surprise I was engaged in all the celebrations. I was so excited to see Prince William in his lovely red hot uniform that's when I realized I was hooked! I could remember how I felt in my own wedding and it was terrific.
I love Sarah Burton design for Alexander McQueen house, her dress was absolutely beautiful and Kate looked gorgeous. (dress have many similarities with Grace Kelly wedding dress)
